PROJECT -
GIRLS

Mentoring girls of color is an incredibly important issue that cannot be overlooked. Despite the growing educational and economic opportunities, girls have access to, girls of color still lack adequate representation and resources to help them reach their goals. Mentors can provide girls of color the support they need in order to build self-esteem and confidence in order to make informed decisions about their future. Studies show that mentorship programs lead to improved academic performance among girls of color, with 75% of girls achieving better grades post-mentorship. This demonstrates why having mentors available for girls of color is not only helpful but critical for them to achieve their full potential as they become young adults.
